Delpech Fougerat Cognac V.S.

Our Cognac results from traditional types of vines that were planted more than 25 years ago on our Fontgireau and La Cigogne domains. Once picked, the grapes are pressed according to a traditional method. The wine is stored until the month of December. It is at this point the distilling can begin, which is carried out on the Fontgireau domain in continuing a Charente Family tradition. Home distillers for generations, Delpech and sons supervise the distilling of the wine themselves in order to give to their Cognac its air of originality. Then the famous eau de vie ages in cellared oak casks on the Fontgireau domain. These cellars are blackened by the “Part Des Anges” which are microscopic mushrooms that are formed as a consequence of the evaporation of the Cognac in the casks. V.S. (Very Special) Cognac is aged a minimum of 4 years, its aroma is delicately floral and very light.

The distillation process, using only aged oak barrels, is precisly executed under the guidence of Mr. Jacques Delpech, in the companies own cellers. Echte-Kroatzbeere

Echte Kroatzbeere is a sublime German wild blackberry liqueur. It is recommended to serve this liqueur chilled with Holiday fruitcake or for a real desert treat over ice cream.
